WASP-158 is a main-sequence F-type dwarf star with a spectral type of F6 V, located 1710 light-years away. It is 1.93 billion years old, has a mass of 1.38 solar masses, a radius of 1.39 solar radii, and a temperature of 6350 K. Its mass, radius, and temperature are all larger or hotter than the Sun's. One planet orbits this star.
That planet, WASP-158 b, is a Jupiter-like world discovered by the transit method in 2018. It completes an orbit in 3.66 days. Its mass is 887 Earth masses, and its radius is 12 Earth radii, larger than Earth in both respects. The mass is roughly 2.79 times Jupiter's mass. Its mean density is 2.83 g/cm³, 0.514 times Earth's.
