TOI-640 and Its Planet

TOI-640 is a star 1120 light-years away with one known planet in orbit around it. The host star is 1.99 billion years old, with a mass of 1.54 solar masses and a radius of 2.08 solar radii. Its temperature is 6460 K. The star's reported mass and radius estimates are larger than the Sun's, and its reported temperature is hotter than the Sun's.

The one planet is TOI-640 b, a Jupiter-like world discovered in 2021 by the transit method, in which a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint and causes a small dip in observed brightness. It completes an orbit every 5 days. Its radius is 19.3 Earth radii, and its mass is 181 Earth masses. Both its reported radius and mass estimates are larger than Earth's. Its mean density is 0.139 g/cm³, 0.0253 times Earth's.
