TOI-5926 b: A Jupiter-Like World on a Short Orbit

TOI-5926 is a star 897 light-years away with a mass of 0.946 solar masses, a radius of 0.89 solar radii, and a temperature of 5430 K. Its reported radius estimate is smaller than the Sun's, and its reported temperature is cooler than the Sun's. One planet orbits this host.

That planet is TOI-5926 b, a Jupiter-like world discovered by transit in 2026. A transit occurs when a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint, causing a small dip in observed brightness; repeated dips help establish orbital periods. TOI-5926 b completes an orbit every 3.81 days. Its radius is 7.57 Earth radii, larger than Earth's and great enough to place it in the Jupiter-like size class, which covers planets exceeding 4 times Earth's radius.
