TOI-532 and Its Jupiter-Like Planet

TOI-532 is a star 440 light-years away with one known planet. The host star is 7.1 billion years old, has a mass of 0.639 solar masses and a radius of 0.612 solar radii, and a temperature of 3930 K. Its mass and radius are smaller than the Sun's, and its temperature is cooler.

The planet TOI-532 b was discovered by transit in 2021. A transit occurs when a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint, causing a small dip in observed brightness. TOI-532 b is Jupiter-like, a size class for planets exceeding 4 times Earth's radius. Its radius is 5.82 Earth radii, larger than Earth's. Its mass is 61.5 Earth masses, also larger than Earth's, and its mean density is 1.72 g/cm³, 0.312 times Earth's. It completes an orbit every 2.33 days.
