TOI-5027 b: A Jupiter-like World in a One-Planet System

TOI-5027 is a star 667 light-years away with an age of 0.4 billion years, a mass of 1.02 solar masses, and a temperature of 5910 K. Its radius of 0.92 solar radii is smaller than the Sun's. One planet orbits this host: TOI-5027 b, a Jupiter-like world discovered by transit in 2025. A transit occurs when a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint, dimming the observed brightness.

TOI-5027 b has a radius of 10.8 Earth radii, larger than Earth's, and a mass of 642 Earth masses, roughly 2.02 times Jupiter's mass and larger than Earth's. Its mean density is 2.84 g/cm³, 0.515 times Earth's. The planet completes an orbit in 10.2 days.
