TOI-4562: A Star With Two Known Planets

TOI-4562 is an F7 V star located 1110 light-years away. As an F-type main-sequence dwarf, it is somewhat hotter and more massive than the Sun. Its reported mass is 1.19 solar masses and its reported radius is 1.15 solar radii, both larger than the Sun's corresponding values. Its reported temperature of 6100 K is also hotter than the Sun's. The star's age is reported as an upper limit of 0.7 billion years.

Two planets are known to orbit TOI-4562. TOI-4562 b was discovered in 2023 by the transit method, in which a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint and causes a small dip in observed brightness. It completes one orbit every 225 days, the shortest orbital period among the listed planets.

TOI-4562 c was discovered in 2024 using transit timing variations. It has a reported mass of 1830 Earth masses, larger than Earth's, and roughly 5.77 times Jupiter's mass. Its orbital period is 3990 days, the longest among the listed planets.
