TOI-4010 and Its Four Worlds

TOI-4010 is a K V star located 579 light-years away, with a spectral type indicating a main-sequence dwarf cooler than the Sun. Its reported mass is 0.88 solar masses and its radius is 0.83 solar radii, both smaller than the Sun's. The star's temperature is 4960 K, cooler than the Sun's, and its age is 6.1 billion years. Four planets orbit this host.

TOI-4010 b is a Neptune-like planet discovered by transit in 2023. Its mass is 11 Earth masses and its radius is 3.02 Earth radii, both larger than Earth's. It completes an orbit in 1.35 days. Its mean density is 2.2 g/cm³, 0.399 times Earth's.

TOI-4010 c and TOI-4010 d are both Jupiter-like planets discovered by transit in 2023, and both have reported radii and masses larger than Earth's. TOI-4010 c has a mass of 20.3 Earth masses and a radius of 5.93 Earth radii, orbiting every 5.41 days, with a mean density of 0.537 g/cm³, 0.0974 times Earth's. TOI-4010 d is more massive at 38.2 Earth masses with a radius of 6.18 Earth radii, taking 14.7 days to orbit. Its mean density is 0.891 g/cm³, 0.162 times Earth's.

TOI-4010 e was found by radial velocity in 2023, a method that detects the wobble a planet's gravity induces in its star's motion. Its minimum mass is 692 Earth masses, roughly 2.18 times Jupiter's mass, and larger than Earth's. Its orbital period is a reported lower limit of 762 days.
