TOI-3364 b: A Jupiter-Like Planet in a Close Orbit

TOI-3364 is a star located 906 light-years away. It hosts one known planet. The star is estimated to be 5.4 billion years old, with a mass of 1.19 solar masses and a radius of 1.42 solar radii, both larger than the Sun's. Its temperature is 5710 K.

The planet TOI-3364 b was discovered in 2023 by the transit method, in which a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint and causes a small dip in observed brightness. Classified as Jupiter-like, meaning its radius exceeds 4 times Earth's, TOI-3364 b has a radius of 12.2 Earth radii, larger than Earth's. Its mass is 531 Earth masses, also larger than Earth's and roughly 1.67 times Jupiter's mass. The planet completes an orbit every 5.88 days. Its mean density is 1.6 g/cm³, 0.29 times Earth's.
