TOI-3331 A b: A Jupiter-Like World on a Two-Day Orbit

TOI-3331 A is a star 708 light-years away, with an age of 2.1 billion years, a mass of 1.02 solar masses, a radius of 0.952 solar radii, and a temperature of 5610 K. Its reported radius estimate is smaller than the Sun's, and its reported temperature is cooler than the Sun's. The star is known to host one planet.

That planet, TOI-3331 A b, is a Jupiter-like world discovered by transit in 2022, the method in which a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint and causes a small dip in observed brightness. It orbits every 2.02 days. Its radius is 13 Earth radii, larger than Earth's, and its mass is 721 Earth masses, also larger than Earth's and roughly 2.27 times Jupiter's mass. Its mean density is 1.82 g/cm³, 0.33 times Earth's.
