TOI-2345: A Nearby K-Type Star with Two Super-Earths

TOI-2345 is a K-type star located 266 light-years away, and two planets orbit it. The star is estimated to be 6.3 billion years old, with a mass of 0.727 solar masses, a radius of 0.729 solar radii, and a temperature of 4690 K. Its reported mass and radius estimates are both smaller than the Sun's, and its reported temperature is cooler than the Sun's.

The two planets are both classified as Super-Earths and were discovered by the transit method in 2025, which detects the small dips in starlight caused when a planet passes in front of its star. TOI-2345 b has a radius of 1.5 Earth radii, a mass of 3.49 Earth masses, and an orbital period of 1.05 days. TOI-2345 c has a radius of 2.45 Earth radii, a mass of 7.27 Earth masses, and an orbital period of 21.1 days. Both planets' reported radius and mass estimates are larger than Earth's. TOI-2345 b's mean density is 5.65 g/cm³, 1.03 times Earth's, while TOI-2345 c's mean density is 2.72 g/cm³, 0.494 times Earth's.

Among the listed planets, TOI-2345 b has the shortest year, the smallest radius, and the smallest reported mass, while TOI-2345 c has the longest year, the largest radius, and the largest reported mass. The reported mass of TOI-2345 c is 7.27 Earth masses.
