TOI-2211 and Its Super-Earth

TOI-2211 is a star 229 light-years away with 0.9 solar masses, 0.834 solar radii, and a temperature of 5250 K. Its radius is smaller than the Sun's, and its temperature is cooler than the Sun's. One planet is known to orbit this host.

That planet, TOI-2211.01, is a Super-Earth discovered by transit in 2024. A transit occurs when a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint, causing a small dip in observed brightness. TOI-2211.01 has an orbital period of 3.09 days and a radius of 1.56 Earth radii, which is larger than Earth's.
