TOI-2104 and Its Super-Earth

TOI-2104 is a star 250 light-years from Earth with a single known planet. The star has a reported mass estimate of 0.8 solar masses and a reported radius estimate of 0.724 solar radii, both smaller than the Sun's. Its temperature of 4910 K is cooler than the Sun's.

The planet TOI-2104 b is classified as a Super-Earth, a size class that reaches 2.5 times Earth's radius. It was discovered in 2026 by the transit method, in which a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint and causes a small dip in observed brightness. Repeated dips help establish orbital periods, and TOI-2104 b completes one orbit every 5.9 days. Its radius of 1.53 Earth radii is larger than Earth's, and it is the only planet known to orbit this star.
