TOI-1768 and Its Neptune-like Planet

TOI-1768 is a star 514 light-years from Earth with 1.1 solar masses, 1.1 solar radii, and a temperature of 5990 K. Its reported radius estimate is larger than the Sun's, and its reported temperature is hotter than the Sun's. One planet is known to orbit this host.

That planet is TOI-1768.01, a Neptune-like world discovered in 2024 by the transit method, in which a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint and causes a small dip in observed brightness. It completes an orbit every 7.34 days. Its radius is 3.45 Earth radii, larger than Earth's, and within the range that defines a Neptune-like planet: a size class reaching four times Earth's radius.
