TOI-1759 b: A Neptune-Like World Around a Cool Red Dwarf

TOI-1759 is an M0.0 V star, an M-type main-sequence dwarf, located 131 light-years away. It has a mass of 0.606 solar masses and a radius of 0.597 solar radii. Its temperature is 4070 K, and its age is 5 billion years. The star hosts one known planet.

That planet is TOI-1759 b, a Neptune-like world discovered by transit in 2022. It completes an orbit every 18.9 days. Its radius is 3.14 Earth radii, larger than Earth's, and its mass is 10.8 Earth masses, also larger than Earth's. Its mean density is 1.92 g/cm³, which is 0.349 times Earth's. The star's reported mass and radius estimates are smaller than the Sun's, and its reported temperature is cooler than the Sun's.
