TOI-1743 and Its Super-Earth

TOI-1743 is an M4 V star, a small, cool red dwarf, located 135 light-years away. The star is 9.7 billion years old and has a mass of 0.339 solar masses and a radius of 0.338 solar radii, both smaller than the Sun's. Its temperature of 3280 K is cooler than the Sun's. One planet is known to orbit this host.

That planet, TOI-1743 b, was discovered by transit in 2025. Its radius of 1.83 Earth radii is larger than Earth's and places it in the Super-Earth class, which spans radii up to 2.5 times Earth's. The planet completes an orbit every 4.27 days.
