TOI-1107: A Distant Star With a Single Known Planet

TOI-1107 is an F6 V star located 918 light-years away. The star is 2.6 billion years old and has a mass of 1.35 solar masses, a radius of 1.81 solar radii, and a temperature of 6310 K. Its mass and radius are larger than the Sun's, and it is hotter than the Sun. An F-type star falls between the Sun's G class and the hotter A class; the trailing "V" indicates a main-sequence dwarf.

One planet is known to orbit TOI-1107. TOI-1107 b was discovered by the transit method in 2022, when the planet passed in front of its star and caused a small dip in brightness. Its radius of 14.6 Earth radii makes it a Jupiter-like planet, larger than Earth and well past the four-Earth-radii threshold for that class. It completes an orbit every 4.08 days.

TOI-1107 b has a mass of 1060 Earth masses, which is larger than Earth's and roughly 3.35 times Jupiter's mass. Its mean density is 1.9 g/cm³, 0.344 times Earth's.
