TOI-6894: A Cool, Dim Host with One Known Planet

TOI-6894 is a star 241 light-years away with a mass of 0.207 solar masses, a radius of 0.228 solar radii, and a temperature of 3010 K. This small, cool star is known to host one planet.

That planet, TOI-6894 b, was discovered by the transit method in 2025. A transit occurs when a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint, causing a small dip in observed brightness. TOI-6894 b is Jupiter-like, with a radius of 9.58 Earth radii, well above the four-Earth-radius threshold for that class. It has a mass of 53.4 Earth masses and orbits every 3.37 days. Its mean density is 0.334 g/cm³, 0.0607 times Earth's.
