TIC 365102760 b: A Giant World Around an Aging Star

TIC 365102760 is a star located 1810 light-years away. It is 6.3 billion years old, has a mass of 1.17 solar masses, a radius of 3.13 solar radii, and a temperature of 4900 K. Its reported mass and radius estimates are larger than the Sun's, while its reported temperature is cooler than the Sun's. One planet is known to orbit this host.

That planet, TIC 365102760 b, was discovered in 2024 by the transit method, in which a planet passing in front of its star from our viewpoint causes a small dip in observed brightness. Repeated dips help establish orbital periods. The planet completes one orbit, or year, every 4.21 days. It is classified as Jupiter-like, a size class for planets exceeding 4 times Earth's radius. Its radius is 6.21 Earth radii, larger than Earth's, and its mass is 19.2 Earth masses, also larger than Earth's.

Its mean density is 0.442 g/cm³, 0.0802 times Earth's.
