A Microlensing Planet Around OGLE-2011-BLG-0173L

OGLE-2011-BLG-0173L is a star 20200 light-years away with a mass of 0.4 solar masses, making it smaller than the Sun. One planet is known to orbit it.

That planet, OGLE-2011-BLG-0173L b, was discovered in 2018 by microlensing, a method that reveals a planet through the way its gravity briefly brightens a more distant star. Its mass is 60 Earth masses, larger than Earth's. No orbital period is reported for OGLE-2011-BLG-0173L b.
