Kepler-961 and Its Neptune-Like Planet

Kepler-961 is a star 1870 light-years away with one known planet in orbit around it. The host star is 2.82 billion years old, has a mass of 0.96 solar masses, and a radius of 0.9 solar radii. Its temperature is 5580 K. Each of these values is smaller or cooler than the Sun: the star's reported mass estimate is smaller than the Sun's, its reported radius estimate is smaller than the Sun's, and its reported temperature is cooler than the Sun's.

The system's only known planet is Kepler-961 b, a Neptune-like world discovered by transit in 2016. A transit occurs when a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint, causing a small dip in observed brightness. Kepler-961 b completes an orbit every 16.9 days, and its radius is 2.55 Earth radii, larger than Earth's. That size places it within the Neptune-like class, which extends to four times Earth's radius.
