Kepler-938 and Its Super-Earth

Kepler-938 is a star located 3860 light-years away, and it hosts one known planet. The star is 4.27 billion years old, has a mass of 0.92 solar masses, a radius of 0.89 solar radii, and a temperature of 5530 K. Its reported mass and radius estimates are smaller than the Sun's, and its reported temperature is cooler than the Sun's.

The planet Kepler-938 b is a Super-Earth discovered by transit in 2016. A transit occurs when a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint, causing a small dip in observed brightness. The planet's orbital period is 52.6 days, and its radius is 2.22 Earth radii, which is larger than Earth's.
