Kepler-932 and Its Earth-like Planet

Kepler-932 is a star 1520 light-years away with one known planet in orbit. It is 4.68 billion years old and has a mass of 0.87 solar masses, a radius of 0.84 solar radii, and a temperature of 5330 K. Its mass and radius are smaller than the Sun's, and its temperature is cooler than the Sun's.

The planet Kepler-932 b was discovered by transit in 2016. A transit occurs when a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint, causing a small dip in observed brightness. Kepler-932 b has an orbital period of 1.92 days, and its radius of 1.37 Earth radii is larger than Earth's. That radius places it in the Earth-like size class, which covers planets within 1.5 times Earth's radius.
