Kepler-911 and Its Single Known Planet

Kepler-911 is a single-star system 1810 light-years away. Its star is 3.55 billion years old, with a mass of 1.34 solar masses and a radius of 1.99 solar radii. Its temperature is 6110 K, hotter than the Sun's, and both its mass and radius estimates are larger than the Sun's. One planet is known to orbit this host.

That planet, Kepler-911 b, is Neptune-like and was discovered in 2016 by the transit method, in which a planet passing in front of its star dims the observed brightness; repeated dips help establish orbital periods. It completes an orbit every 20.3 days, and its radius of 2.6 Earth radii is larger than Earth's.
