Kepler-829 and Its Super-Earth

Kepler-829 is a star located 3500 light-years away. It has 0.98 solar masses, 0.97 solar radii, and a temperature of 5700 K, and it is 4.68 billion years old. One planet is known to orbit this host.

That planet is Kepler-829 b, a Super-Earth discovered by transit in 2016, the same method in which a planet crossing in front of its star dims the observed brightness. Its orbital period is 6.88 days, and its radius is 2.11 Earth radii, a reported radius estimate larger than Earth's.
