Kepler-804 and Its Two Planets

Kepler-804 is a star located 2120 light-years away. It is 5.25 billion years old, holds 1.01 solar masses and 1.05 solar radii, and has a temperature of 5820 K. Two planets orbit this host.

Both planets were discovered by transit in 2016, the method in which a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint and causes a small dip in observed brightness. Kepler-804 c is classified as Earth-like and has a radius of 1.14 Earth radii, while Kepler-804 b is a Super-Earth with a radius of 1.94 Earth radii. Among the listed planets, Kepler-804 c has the smallest radius, and Kepler-804 b has the largest; Kepler-804 b's reported radius estimate is larger than Earth's.

Orbital periods, the time each planet takes to complete one orbit, differ between the two. Kepler-804 c completes its orbit in 9.65 days, the shortest year among the listed planets, and Kepler-804 b takes 14.4 days, the longest among them.
