Kepler-800 and Its Neptune-Like Planet

Kepler-800 is a star 3320 light-years away with one known planet. The host star is 4.68 billion years old and has a mass of 0.85 solar masses and a radius of 0.82 solar radii. Its temperature is 5320 K. The star's reported mass and radius estimates are smaller than the Sun's, and its reported temperature is cooler than the Sun's.

The planet Kepler-800 b was discovered by transit in 2016. A transit occurs when a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint, causing a small dip in observed brightness. Kepler-800 b is Neptune-like and orbits every 14.1 days. Its radius is 2.85 Earth radii, larger than Earth's.
