Kepler-799 and Its Two Known Planets

Kepler-799 is a star with two known planets. The host star has a mass of 0.95 solar masses and a radius of 0.93 solar radii, with a temperature of 5680 K and an age of 3.98 billion years.

Both planets were found by the transit method, which detects the small dip in a star's brightness when a planet crosses in front of it. Kepler-799 b is Jupiter-like, with a radius of 6.88 Earth radii and an orbital period of 133 days. Kepler-799 c is Neptune-like, with a radius of 2.78 Earth radii and an orbital period of 15.2 days. Among the listed planets, Kepler-799 c has the shortest year and the smallest radius, while Kepler-799 b has the longest year and the largest radius. Both planets have radii larger than Earth's. Kepler-799 b was discovered in 2016, and Kepler-799 c was discovered in 2021.
