Kepler-753: A Cool Dwarf Star and Its Super-Earth

Kepler-753 is a star located 896 light-years from Earth, and it hosts one known planet. The star is estimated to be 3.63 billion years old, with a mass of 0.68 solar masses and a radius of 0.65 solar radii. Its reported temperature is 4350 K. The star's reported mass estimate is smaller than the Sun's, its reported radius estimate is smaller than the Sun's, and its reported temperature is cooler than the Sun's.

The only known planet in this system is Kepler-753 b, a Super-Earth discovered in 2016 by the transit method, in which a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint and causes a small dip in observed brightness. Kepler-753 b has an orbital period of 5.75 days and a radius of 1.91 Earth radii. Its reported radius estimate is larger than Earth's. As a Super-Earth, its size class places it within 2.5 times Earth's radius.
