Kepler-681 and Its Neptune-Like Planet

Kepler-681 is a star located 2240 light-years away. It has one known planet. The host star is estimated to be 5.01 billion years old, with a mass of 0.8 solar masses and a radius of 0.76 solar radii. Its temperature is 5020 K, cooler than the Sun's, and both its reported mass and radius estimates are smaller than the Sun's.

The only planet known to orbit this star is Kepler-681 b, discovered by transit in 2016, when the planet passed in front of its star from our viewpoint and caused a small dip in observed brightness. Kepler-681 b is Neptune-like, a size class that reaches 4 times Earth's radius, and its radius of 3.08 Earth radii is larger than Earth's. It completes one orbit every 26.4 days.
