Kepler-674 and Its Super-Earth

Kepler-674 is a star 1120 light-years away with one known planet. The host star is 3.31 billion years old and has a mass of 0.6 solar masses, a radius of 0.57 solar radii, and a temperature of 4190 K. Its mass and radius are smaller than the Sun's, and its temperature is cooler.

The planet, Kepler-674 b, is a Super-Earth discovered by transit in 2016. A transit occurs when a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint, causing a small dip in observed brightness. Kepler-674 b orbits every 2.24 days, and its radius of 1.69 Earth radii is larger than Earth's.
