Kepler-671 and Its Lone Known Planet

Kepler-671 is a star 3810 light-years away with a single known planet. The host star is 4.47 billion years old and has a mass of 0.97 solar masses, a radius of 0.95 solar radii, and a temperature of 5620 K, which is cooler than the Sun's.

The one planet orbiting this star is Kepler-671 b, discovered in 2016 by the transit method, in which a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint and causes a small dip in observed brightness. This Neptune-like planet completes an orbit every 4.28 days. Its radius is 2.69 Earth radii, larger than Earth's.
