Kepler-665 and Its Neptune-Like Planet

Kepler-665 is a star located 2000 light-years away. It is 4.68 billion years old, with a mass of 0.79 solar masses and a radius of 0.74 solar radii. Its temperature is 4910 K, and its reported mass and radius estimates are smaller than the Sun's, while its reported temperature is cooler than the Sun's.

One planet orbits this host. Kepler-665 b is a Neptune-like planet discovered by transit in 2016. A transit occurs when a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint, causing a small dip in observed brightness. Kepler-665 b completes an orbit every 16 days, and its radius of 2.6 Earth radii is larger than Earth's.
