Kepler-622 and Its Super-Earth

Kepler-622 is a star located 929 light-years away, with one known planet in orbit around it. The star is 3.47 billion years old and has a mass of 0.64 solar masses, a radius of 0.61 solar radii, and a temperature of 4200 K. Its mass, radius, and temperature are all smaller or cooler than the Sun's.

The planet Kepler-622 b is a Super-Earth discovered by the transit method in 2016, when it was observed passing in front of its host star. It completes an orbit every 14.3 days and has a radius of 2.13 Earth radii, larger than Earth's. A Super-Earth's size class covers radii up to 2.5 times Earth's, so Kepler-622 b sits within that range.
