Kepler-584 and Its Jupiter-Like Planet

Kepler-584 is a star 6030 light-years away with one known planet. The host star is 2.88 billion years old and has a mass of 1.17 solar masses, a radius of 1.24 solar radii, and a temperature of 6200 K. Its reported mass and radius estimates are larger than the Sun's, and its reported temperature is hotter than the Sun's.

Kepler-584 b is a Jupiter-like planet discovered by transit in 2016. A transit occurs when a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint, causing a small dip in observed brightness. The planet's orbital period is 35.2 days, and its radius is 4.21 Earth radii, which is larger than Earth's.
