Kepler-555 and Its Neptune-Like Planet

Kepler-555 is a star 3170 light-years away with one planet. The host star is 3.89 billion years old and has a mass of 1.03 solar masses, a radius of 1.04 solar radii, and a temperature of 5890 K.

The planet Kepler-555 b is Neptune-like, meaning its size class compares its radius with Earth's, reaching up to four times Earth's radius. It was discovered by transit in 2016, when the planet passed in front of its star from our viewpoint, causing a small dip in observed brightness. Its radius is 2.83 Earth radii, an estimate larger than Earth's. It completes an orbit every 16.2 days.
