Kepler-535 and Its Super-Earth

Kepler-535 is a star 2240 light-years away with one known planet. The host is 3.24 billion years old, has 1.18 solar masses and 1.27 solar radii, and a temperature of 6120 K. Its mass, radius, and temperature are each larger or hotter than the Sun's corresponding value.

The planet, Kepler-535 b, was discovered by transit in 2016, when it passed in front of its star and produced a small dip in observed brightness. It is classified as a Super-Earth, a size class reaching 2.5 times Earth's radius. Kepler-535 b orbits every 4.9 days and has a radius of 2.36 Earth radii, larger than Earth's.
