Kepler-528 and Its Super-Earth

Kepler-528 is a star located 2560 light-years away, and it hosts one known planet. The host star is 5.5 billion years old and has a mass of 1.01 solar masses, a radius of 1.06 solar radii, and a temperature of 5810 K.

The planet, Kepler-528 b, was discovered in 2016 by the transit method, in which a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint and causes a small dip in observed brightness. It is classified as a Super-Earth, a size class that reaches 2.5 times Earth's radius. Kepler-528 b has an orbital period of 19.8 days, the time it takes to complete one orbit, and a radius of 2.08 Earth radii, which is larger than Earth's.
