Kepler-526 and Its Super-Earth

Kepler-526 is a star located 2170 light-years away, and it hosts one known planet. The star is 2.14 billion years old, with a mass of 1.15 solar masses and a radius of 1.14 solar radii. Its temperature is 5890 K, making it hotter than the Sun. Both its reported mass and radius estimates are larger than the Sun's.

The planet Kepler-526 b is classified as a Super-Earth, a size class for planets up to 2.5 times Earth's radius. It was discovered in 2016 by the transit method, which detects the small dip in a star's brightness when a planet passes in front of it. Kepler-526 b has a radius of 1.99 Earth radii, larger than Earth's, and orbits its star every 5.46 days.
