Kepler-525 and Its Neptune-Like Planet

Kepler-525 is a star 3240 light-years away with one known planet. The host star is estimated to be 10.5 billion years old, with a mass of 0.95 solar masses and a radius of 1.15 solar radii. Its reported temperature of 5570 K is cooler than the Sun's, and its mass estimate is smaller than the Sun's.

The only listed planet is Kepler-525 b, a Neptune-like world discovered by transit in 2016. A transit occurs when a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint, causing a small dip in observed brightness. Kepler-525 b orbits its star every 18.7 days and has a radius of 2.63 Earth radii, larger than Earth's.
