Kepler-465 and Its Neptune-Like Planet

Kepler-465 is a star located 1,800 light-years away with one known planet in orbit. The host star is estimated to be 2.19 billion years old, with a mass of 1.23 solar masses and a radius of 1.29 solar radii. Its temperature is 6,310 K, making it hotter than the Sun. Its reported mass and radius estimates are both larger than the Sun's.

The system's sole known planet is Kepler-465 b, a Neptune-like world detected by the transit method in 2016. This classification reflects a radius that reaches up to four times Earth's, and Kepler-465 b's reported radius estimate of 2.95 Earth radii is larger than Earth's. It completes an orbit every 9.94 days.
