Kepler-441 and Its Super-Earth

Kepler-441 is a star 874 light-years away with one known planet. The host star is 1.9 billion years old, with a mass of 0.572 solar masses and a radius of 0.55 solar radii. Its temperature is 4340 K. The star's reported mass and radius estimates are smaller than the Sun's, and its reported temperature is cooler than the Sun's.

The planet, Kepler-441 b, is a Super-Earth discovered by transit in 2015. A transit occurs when a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint, causing a small dip in observed brightness; repeated dips help establish orbital periods. Kepler-441 b orbits its star every 207 days and has a radius of 1.64 Earth radii. That reported radius estimate is larger than Earth's. Super-Earth is a size class: it reaches 2.5 times Earth's radius, comparing radius rather than composition.
