Kepler-405: A Distant Star With Two Known Planets

Kepler-405 is a star 3470 light-years away with two known planets. Its mass is 0.91 solar masses and its radius is 0.88 solar radii, making both smaller than the Sun's. The star is 4.68 billion years old and has a temperature of 5530 K, cooler than the Sun.

Both planets were discovered by transit in 2014. Kepler-405 b is a Super-Earth with an orbital period of 10.6 days and a radius of 2.08 Earth radii, larger than Earth's. Kepler-405 c is Jupiter-like, with an orbital period of 29.7 days and a radius of 4.66 Earth radii.

Among the listed planets, Kepler-405 b has the shortest year and the smallest radius by reported estimates, while Kepler-405 c has the longest year and the largest radius by reported estimates.
