Kepler-360 is a star located 2860 light-years away, with a mass of 0.95 solar masses, a radius of 0.92 solar radii, a temperature of 5630 K, and an age of 4.17 billion years. Its reported mass estimate is smaller than the Sun's, and its reported temperature is cooler than the Sun's. Two planets are known to orbit this host: Kepler-360 b and Kepler-360 c, both classified as Super-Earths. A Super-Earth has a radius reaching up to 2.5 times Earth's.
Both planets were discovered in 2014 by the transit method, in which a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint and causes a small dip in observed brightness. Kepler-360 b has an orbital period of 3.29 days and a radius of 1.65 Earth radii. Kepler-360 c has an orbital period of 7.19 days and a radius of 2.1 Earth radii. Kepler-360 c's reported radius estimate is larger than Earth's. Among the listed planets, Kepler-360 b has the shortest year by reported estimates, and Kepler-360 c has the longest. Kepler-360 b also has the smallest radius among the listed planets, while Kepler-360 c has the largest.
