Kepler-355 is a star located 4670 light-years away. It has a mass of 0.99 solar masses, a radius of 0.98 solar radii, a temperature of 5820 K, and an age of 3.72 billion years. Two planets are known to orbit this host.
Both planets were discovered in 2014 by the transit method, which detects the small dip in a star's brightness when a planet passes in front of it from our viewpoint. Kepler-355 b is an Earth-like planet with a radius of 1.46 Earth radii and an orbital period of 11 days. Kepler-355 c is a Neptune-like planet with a radius of 2.71 Earth radii and an orbital period of 25.8 days. Among the listed planets, Kepler-355 b has the shortest year and the smallest radius, while Kepler-355 c has the longest year and the largest radius. Kepler-355 c's reported radius estimate is larger than Earth's.
