Kepler-343 is a star located 3020 light-years away, and two planets have been found orbiting it. The host star is 6.03 billion years old, with a mass of 1.08 solar masses and a radius of 1.3 solar radii. Its temperature is 5860 K, and both the mass and radius estimates are larger than the Sun's, while its reported temperature is hotter than the Sun's.
Both planets were discovered by transit in 2014, the method in which a planet passing in front of its star from our viewpoint causes a small dip in observed brightness. Kepler-343 b is a Super-Earth with an orbital period of 8.97 days and a radius of 2.41 Earth radii, larger than Earth's. Kepler-343 c is also a Super-Earth, with an orbital period of 23.2 days and a radius of 2.02 Earth radii, likewise larger than Earth's. Among the listed planets, Kepler-343 b has the shortest year and the largest radius by reported estimates, while Kepler-343 c has the longest year and the smallest radius.
