Kepler-1986 and Its Super-Earth

Kepler-1986 is a star 2970 light-years away with one known planet. The transit method, which detects the small dip in a star's brightness when a planet crosses in front of it, revealed Kepler-1986 b in 2023. This Super-Earth has a radius of 1.89 Earth radii, larger than Earth's, and orbits its star every 19.5 days.

The host star's reported mass estimate is 0.91 solar masses, smaller than the Sun's. Its reported radius estimate is 0.74 solar radii, also smaller than the Sun's. The star's reported temperature is 5290 K, cooler than the Sun's.
