Kepler-1941 b: A Neptune-Like World in a Distant System

Kepler-1941 is a star located 4870 light-years away, and it hosts one known planet. The star has a reported mass of 1.24 solar masses and a radius of 1.17 solar radii, both larger than the Sun's corresponding values. Its temperature is 6420 K, which is hotter than the Sun's. These stellar measurements describe the host star itself.

The single planet in this system is Kepler-1941 b, classified as Neptune-like. It completes one orbit every 31.3 days, and its radius is 2.65 Earth radii, larger than Earth's radius. The planet was discovered by the transit method, in which a planet passing in front of its star from our viewpoint causes a small dip in observed brightness. Repeated dips help establish orbital periods.
