Kepler-1931 b: A Neptune-Like Planet in a Distant System

Kepler-1931 is a star located 2020 light-years from Earth, and it hosts one known planet. The star has a reported mass of 1.19 solar masses, a reported radius of 1.49 solar radii, and a temperature of 6210 K, making it larger, more massive, and hotter than the Sun.

The planet, Kepler-1931 b, was discovered by the transit method, which detects the small dip in a star's brightness when a planet passes in front of it. Kepler-1931 b has a radius of 2.65 Earth radii, larger than Earth's, and its radius places it in the Neptune-like class, which includes planets up to four times Earth's radius. It completes one orbit every 38.6 days.
