Kepler-1928 b: A Super-Earth in a Distant Star System

Kepler-1928 is a star located 1060 light-years away with a single known planet in orbit. The host star has a mass of 1.01 solar masses, a radius of 0.92 solar radii, a temperature of 5720 K, and an age of 0.105 billion years. Its reported radius estimate is smaller than the Sun's.

The one known planet, Kepler-1928 b, is classified as a Super-Earth, a size class that reaches up to 2.5 times Earth's radius. It was discovered in 2021 by the transit method, which detects the small dip in a star's brightness when a planet passes in front of it from our viewpoint. Kepler-1928 b has a radius of 1.99 Earth radii, larger than Earth's, and completes an orbit every 19.6 days.
