Kepler-1904 and Its Earth-like Planet

Kepler-1904 is a single-star system 883 light-years away. The host star has a mass of 0.526 solar masses, a radius of 0.497 solar radii, and a temperature of 3810 K. Its reported mass, radius, and temperature are all smaller or cooler than the Sun's. One planet is known to orbit this star.

That planet is Kepler-1904 b, an Earth-like world discovered by transit in 2021. A transit occurs when a planet passes in front of its star from our viewpoint, causing a small dip in observed brightness. Kepler-1904 b orbits every 4.58 days and has a radius of 1.39 Earth radii. That radius is larger than Earth's, but it remains within the Earth-like size class, which covers planets up to 1.5 times Earth's radius.
